SERPs Data Refresh in Progress!

Just to let you know that we’re running a complete data refresh on all the Google SERPs results in IMeye.

So if you happen to receive an error popup when selecting “Google Search Results” from the right click menu, don’t worry, the data will be back very soon…

As you can imagine we have a lot of data to process (close to 50 million domains!) though we would expect the whole process to be completed within the next 24 hours.

Thank you so much for your patience!

Three minutes with IMeye yields $60,000 opportunity (It’s all about the domains!)

There are quite a few domain tools out there lately.   Tools that help you find domains to register, or domains to buy at auction, or maybe even to find keyword phrases that have exact match domains available (an increasingly RARE thing, where the keyword phrase is exactly the same as the domain name).  They’re all lovely and perform a service, but…like Keyword Research…the domain component of IMeye is a bit different! MASSIVE changes to IMeye

Wow…it’s been less than a month since we let our secret project (IMeye) out of the bag, and the response has been overwhelming.  There are SO many people already building so many little businesses around opportunities they’ve found.  We knew it would be good, but it’s been even better than we’d thought. IMeye Domain Functionality Now 300% More Betterer

Bad grammar not withstanding…our partner Register Compass really came through for us and has given us a huge increase in the number of domains we’re tracking each day.

At any given moment in time, IMeye now has 13,000 domains that are expiring, expired or up for auction.  All of these domains already rank on the first page of Google. These domains change every single day!

I’m not sure how it ever gets any easier than this.

Real World IMeye Example #1

Tue, Apr 20, 2010

Let’s look at a real world example of just one way to use IMeye.

I encourage you to use this, not as a literal paint by numbers example to follow…BUT…as a way to understand the tool and be able to apply it yourself and use it in many different ways to help you make money online.

To beat my hammer analogy to death, I want to show you how to use the front surface of the hammer to pound in a nail, in the hopes that you completely understand its purpose and its potential so you could use it to pound a peg into a hole or something else.  The whole idea being…these examples I’ll give (now and in the near future) are just ways to use this powerful tool.  There are practically an infinite number of things you can really do once you get in the right  mindset of how to use this tool.  This point is REALLY important as I’ve had a few people actually take ALL the examples that I gave in the IMeye tutorial videos and simply combine them together into one big search criteria, thereby looking for a perfect SEO keyword, AND a perfect adwords keyword, AND where there’s an exact match domain , AND where the exact match domain is for sale etc. etc.  Obviously, there aren’t many keywords that will meet that!  This is not the way to use the tool.  The idea is to look for targeted opportunities given a “perfect storm” of key indicators where you can hit the ground running and have a leg up on ways to make money online….let’s take a look at what I mean. IMeye Customers Now Get Even More Value!

Thu, Apr 15, 2010

First off, we’ve been thrilled by the response from IMeye customers.  It’s gratifying to work so hard on something for so long and see folks really getting great benefit from it.  One of the things that’s shocked us, really…is how many relatively new marketers have joined us.  We really thought that IMeye would appeal mostly to the more experienced Internet marketer who could make the most out of the opportunities presented.  Don’t get me wrong!  We’re thrilled to have these people, but we are worried they’re not prepared to take full advantage of IMeye.  So, to help with that, we are announcing that IMMEDIATELY, all IMeye customers will get access to our beginner’s product called Mining Money Online at absolutely no cost.

This product should level the playing field and give everyone the background in Internet marketing to take full advantage of all IMeye opportunities

You may access Mining Money Online here with your same IMeye username and password :

==>  http://www.miningmoneyonline.com/download

In addition, to further help everyone make the most from IMeye, I will be doing a series of VERY detailed examples of how we use IMeye, and posting these once a week.  The first one will coincide with a small enhancement to IMeye later in this week.  We’ll be adding a “What’s New” tab to make sure you’re always kept up to date.  Each time I post an example, it will be broadcast here!

Important Information for IMeye Users

Mon, Apr 12, 2010

After discussing IMeye with MANY customers (thanks everyone!) I wanted to share some of the things that I think would benefit from more discussion to ensure people are getting most out of this powerful tool!

*******************************
The keyword column
*******************************

First let’s talk about how this column works with regard to filtering.  If you enter “Dog training” in the field and ask it to filter results, it does not give you keywords related to dog training.  It gives you keyword phrases that have the words “dog training” in them.  Trying to use IMeye to find “related” keywords from a seed is the wrong way to use this tool.  If you’re going to do keyword research that way (which is perfectly reasonable when you KNOW the niche you’re going after etc.), then Keyword Blueprint or Market Samurai are the tools you want for that job.  IMeye is not designed to expand keyword lists from niches you already know of.  It’s designed to help you find that one keyword here and that one keyword over there…that you never knew of…that my take you in a completely different niche.  You need to be “open” to the opportunities and let them find you…not have you find them.

It takes some getting used to, but believe me it’s incredibly powerful.

*******************************
Exact Match Domains
*******************************

The reason you can search / filter on whether an exact match domain is in the top 10 of the rankings, is because…in certain VERY special circumstances…(competing pages < 50000, intitle < 20000), exact match domains do VERY VERY well…so…you’re simply looking for the absence of an exact match domain on the first page.  Then you could try to go get one (com, net, org) or one that’s very close with hyphens and /or extra words etc.  And then it’s a matter if just doing basic SEO.

Now..a COMPLETELY different use of IMeye is looking at the domains that ALREADY rank in the rankings…and seeing what ones that are expiring or up for auction that you can get that can give you instant rankings…(well almost anyway)…and building projects around them.  Now…to the extent that this may also be an exact match…GREAT…BUT…that will be rare…and not the point…just gravy, because their value is in the fact that they already rank for the keyword you’re looking at.  You have instant Google ranking penetration potential!

Several people were trying to combine these things and only look for those special levels of competition AND where there’s an exact match domain name for SALE.  You do not need to do this.  That represents the combination of two very powerful tactics which would be very hard to find keywords that satisfy.

*******************************
Domain Availability
*******************************

There’s been some confusion about how we are presenting the domains that are expiring or are up for auction.  Here’s how it works:

For every keyword we have…and let’s just use 1 million for now…we store the top 10 domains that rank for a broad match search and the top 10 domains that rank for a phrase match search. This data is updated approximately 1x per month or so.  So…we now have a database of 20 million domains to look at that may be valuable to own as they are ranking already.

Every day…a different percentage of these domains become available due to expiring or up for auction.  So every day…we bounce our complete list of domains up against what’s expiring or up for auction…and if there’s a hit..bingo!  This is why it’s different every single day.

Add to this the fact that if we add 20k keywords in a day.  We are now checking an additional 400k domains EVERY DAY.  (20k x 20).

The bottom line is that every day (at around 7-9 AM EST), there are thousands of new opportunities to acquire domains that already rank in Google.

One other note.  If you’re getting the message “This Domain is no longer available”, that actually means that we’re updating the database while you’re trying to check.  We’re working to change that message as it’s misleading.

In addition, if you’re seeing only 1 or 2 domains available, that also means the update is going on.  Giving it 30 minutes or so will correct that.

*******************************
Only 50 pages of data?
*******************************

I’ve been asked about the 50 pages of data limitation and the number of keywords per page.  The number of keywords per page is directly related to your monitor’s size (well, really resolution).  The higher the resolution, the more keywords you’ll see per page.

The 50 page limit represents the limitation of the number of keywords you’re able to bring into your workspace at one time to sort and look through.

It does NOT mean that you’re only allowed 50 pages of data as there can be 10’s of thousands of pages, obviously.

The way to see “more” or “all” of them is to simply make your search criteria more targeted.  For example, when you first hit the red x filter to reset everything…it pulls all keywords and gives you the first 50 pages of data.  But, if you filter on search volumes > 150000 and bids < .05 etc., or whatever combination you’re looking for at the time, the search criteria will get narrower and narrower and will eventually return back less than 50 pages as you get more targeted.

The idea here is that no one really wants to look through 50 pages anyway!  You want the keywords to find you, so tightening your criteria ruthlessly is the best bet!

*******************************
Where did my options icon go ?
*******************************

Originally, IMeye had an options icon because we thought we would have…uhm…options :-)  We didn’t end up with any, so the icon went away!

*******************************
What’s with the “foreign” words ?
*******************************

IMeye is a global tool.  There is a whole other world out there besides countries that speak English!  :-) If someone is searching on it , it’s going to make its way into our tool regardless of what language it is.
*******************************
Slow and steady wins the race!
*******************************

Finally I wanted to share a thought about the best way to incorporate IMeye into your workflow.  I see too many people who are rushing in and trying to grab 50 domains…or find 1000 keywords and own all the opportunities the first day IMeye came out :-)

That’s not the best use of this powerful tool.

It’s quality not quantity that counts here, and it’s another paradigm shift away from more traditional keyword research.

The best idea, I think, is to set a goal.  I’d suggest 1 keyword and 1 domain opportunity per week.  Find your best ones, and then go use them to build out something that will get you revenue!  Then rinse/repeat.

Because new keywords and new domains are added every single day…you don’t have to stress.  IMeye can be a long term partner in building your online business.  And, since you’re an early adopter, you’re locked in to this price forever even as we raise the price for new members shortly.  Finding just one opportunity in a year (seriously) can pay for a whole year’s worth of IMeye access in a matter of a month or two.  And that’s just one…find one or two per week!

Within 30 days, we’ll have the ability to sort/filter on the “age” of the keyword so, you can tell IMeye that you’ve already searched through the previous keywords.  I only want to look at the most recent ones or the ones since I’ve looked before etc.  This will go a long way towards making the tool more valuable for people to use routinely.

In addition, we have lots of exciting new things we’ll be adding to IMeye.  The power this platform gives us is staggering.  You’ll be so happy that you’ve chosen to come along for the ride.
